About CBM

As one of the largest custom and diverse precision machine/fabrication shops in the southeast, CBM offers a full line of CNC machining/milling, gear cutting, welding and fabrication equipment. Our facility includes 22 over-head cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 100,000 lbs. We are located 1.5 miles off of I-85 in a state of the art facility of 200,000 square feet on 65 acres. CBM is situated a mere 20 minutes from a major international airport, and three hours from “Port of Entry”.

Many leading pulp and paper mills have partnered with CBM. In return, they are benefiting from precision parts, custom fabrication and rebuild services all under one roof. All by design to reduce mill operating cost. This is accomplished in the following ways:

Engineering

Reverse engineering is just one of the services offered to help keep mills operational. If your parts are manufactured overseas, have long lead times or are no longer in production, we can help. Our engineers will not only reverse engineer and provide CAD drawings but can also suggest structural design and material improvements resulting in longer part life.

Machining Services

You need precision parts! There is a reason precision is part of our name. With CNC technology and expert machinist we can consistently hold tolerances of .0005” and some cases, better.

Lead time repairing gear boxes trumps the competition because we don’t wait for OEM gears, in most cases, we cut them in house.

CBM offers store room supply programs that allow you to reduce your inventory by storing up to 6 months supply of your product on our shelves.

Fabrication Services

Our team of certified welders are here to meet your welding needs. From small tig welding jobs, that fit in a box to large fabrication jobs requiring wide/overload permits. CBM has the expertise, the experience and the facility to handle almost any size job you require.
