About CBM

As one of the largest custom and diverse precision machine/fabrication shops in the southeast, CBM offers a full line of CNC machining/milling, gear cutting, welding and fabrication equipment. Our facility includes 22 over-head cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 100,000 lbs. We are located 1.5 miles off of I-85 in a state of the art facility of 200,000 square feet on 65 acres. CBM is situated a mere 20 minutes from a major international airport, and three hours from “Port of Entry”.

Roll Repair

Roll repair or new roll fabrication has been niche for CBM for almost 30 years. We conduct a 50 point inspection on every roll we repair or new roll we produce.

Types of inspection include: NDT testing, balancing, dimensional inspection of journals, roll body and related parts. Even the cover can be checked for hardness and dimensional stability. When a repair is needed, CBM can perform complete journal and head replacement, as well as fabricate new bearing housings, plates, and flanges to meet the requirements of our customers. Reel spool clutch brakes can be fabricated and other specialty roll parts for various types of pulp and paper rolls. Our large engine lathe capacity of up to 72” OD x 40’ feet in length, allows us to handle a magnitude of different jobs. All work comes with a full factory warranty.
